DESCRIPTION:Exhibit: Chicago Public Library partners with the new National Vegetarian Museum to present its first traveling exhibition: "What Does it Mean to be Vegetarian?" This exhibit invites visitors to explore the roots of Vegetarianism's past and present\, discovering the historical depth of the vegetarian movement and the vitality of today's vegan community. Through 12 flexible panels\, visitors learn the values and benefits of vegetarianism and are guided to resources for learning more from recommended books and recipes\, to restaurants\, organizations and groups. There is also a 5-minute video of author/speaker Victoria Moran giving a fascinating history of the vegetarian movement. www.vegmuse.org/\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent: Saturday\, February 11\, 1-5pm.\n\nJoin us to support the Grand Opening of the National Vegetarian Museum www.vegmuse.org/ and be the first to attend and enjoy it! Her mission is to raise nutritional awareness\, inspire dietary change and improve the health of the nation. Her new book: "Real Food for Healthy People\; is a recipe and resource guide.
