              Event Description:
              Developed in response to COVID-19, our Dine Out programs are meant to create a safe, socially distanced environment outdoors for the community to connect while supporting Lakeview restaurants and businesses. For Dine Out on Southport, we plan to close Southport Ave from Waveland to Grace on Fridays - Sundays every weekend in September with support from SSA 27. This will allow restaurants on this block to expand their outdoor dining service onto the street, increasing their capacity and providing more seating options for the Lakeview community while also bringing increased foot traffic to our local retailers. *this program is pending approval of necessary permits from the city of Chicago
