This class gives you the unique opportunity to have a Chiropractor and low back specialist on hand while doing your work out. Infusing the basic principles of Pilates mat work with influences from her dance background, Kristen Bernier and Dr Dawn Webster will focus on anatomy and injury prevention as it relates to movement. Through deliberate, controlled movement, Pilates tones and elongates muscles, improves flexibility and posture, and enhances over all body awareness. The class begins with a light warm-up and concludes with dynamic stretching and relaxation. The inclusion of appropriate props, hand weights, and tactile cues are used to deepen the benefit of Pilates and the overall satisfaction of the students. The class is open to students of all levels.
