    About Chad Kouri

Known for his vibrant, abstract compositions, Chad Kouri (b. 1985) is a working artist based in Chicago, IL examining themes commonly associated with visual literacy - specifically how we see, read, and remember the world around us. His works explore the holistic properties of color and abstraction, prompting introspection and inspiring a slower pace in our day to day lives as a form of self-care and personal grounding. His practice is influenced by minimalism, jazz, conceptual and systematic art, design, fashion, printmaking and the grey areas between them.

    About the Lakeview Low-Line

The Lakeview Low-Line re-envisions the half-mile space beneath the CTA Brown Line ‘L’ tracks between Southport and Lincoln avenues as an exciting Chicago art destination and a fun and dynamic path connecting Lakeview. As the Presenting Artwalk Sponsor, AARP Chicago is supporting the development of new murals and rotating art exhibits, creating a larger-than-life outdoor gallery.
