Position Title: Team Member/Scent Consultant for Chicago’s very own Pour-Your-Own Custom Candle Experience at AURA Candle Bar. AURA Candle Bar is a fragrance and candle-making experience.
Location: Southport Corridor - Lakeview, Chicago; a two minute walk to/from CTA Brown Line, Southport Station
Hours: Part-time positions currently available for weekends and some nights. Weekend and holiday availability is a must. Studio Hours: Sunday 12-5 PM, Monday-Closed, Tuesday & Wednesday 12-7PM, Thursday & Friday 12-8 PM, Saturday 11-8 PM
Who We Are: AURA Candle Bar is a socially interactive, pour-your-own retail candle-making class experience bringing people together to explore and create with scent. We invite guests to custom-blend fragrances in our customer-'scentric' atmosphere. We're looking for team members who can uphold our mission to create a peaceful sanctuary for our guests, offering an escape from the bustle of everyday life. Your role would involve welcoming visitors, guiding them through fragrance explorations helping them to create personalized scent blends. Possessing good self-care practices ensure you can provide exceptional guest experiences. We value candidates who bring authenticity and integrity to both their work and personal life.
This includes, those who are comfortable speaking to groups in a public setting, those who are exceptional at prioritizing tasks as assigned pertaining to the guest experience and those who are aware of the operational flow of a retail space have found significant success at AURA.
We are highly interested in individuals who have life experience that compliment fragrance. People from various backgrounds enhance AURA’s ability to serve those who visit the studio. Completed bachelor degree's.
Note: Custom fragrance blending training provided.
Important Notes:
Pay starts at $15/hour; $25/hour average with tips
Living within 20 minutes of the studio is preferred
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift over 45 pounds
